ISLAMABAD: A high level meeting concerning country’s security is being presided over by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and it has been decided in the meeting that the issue of Budh Bair incident will be raised before the Afghan government.
According to a local newspaper, a high level meeting was held under the presidency of the premier Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad. The meeting was attended by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Interior Minister Chauhadry Nisar, Ishaq Dar, Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, DG ISPR and DG Military Operation including key political and military leadership.
The meeting discussed country’s security and peace situation in Pakistan as well as discussing in details about the attack on base camp of Air Force in Peshawar and the situation after the attack was discussed.
It has been decided in the meeting that the evidences of Budh Bair attack and important information will be provided to Afghan government. It was also decided to ensure border management system in order to secure transport from border areas of Afghanistan.
The meeting further decided that the cooperation already continued with Afghanistan against terrorism will further be increased. According to sources, the meeting also reviewed the Operation Zarb-i-Azb being continued against terrorists.
