Karachi: State Bank of Pakistan has denied the reports and news published in the local media regarding the mixture of gold in one and two rupees aluminum/bronze coins, declaring all the reports as lie and absolute rumor.
State Bank in a comprehensive statement informed that the actual worth of the coins will remain the same upon the exchange of these coins.
It suggested the public that they must not sell or purchase one or two rupee coins for more than its actual worth and value.
It is to mention here that these rumors are being spread across the country since many days and it was first came in the market in 1999-2000, in reaction the ordinary public became an easy prey of it.
