Karachi: Pakistan’s first sports channel Geo Super has agreed a contract with the Sri Lankan Cricket Board and ESPN Star Sports to broadcast the inaugural edition of the Sri Lanka Premier League live in Pakistan, scheduled to play from August 11.
As per agreement, Geo Super will broadcast all the matches of the Sri Lankan league. On the other hand, ESPN, Star Sports and Star Cricket will broadcast the matches in other markets like Bangladesh, Bhutan, Hong Kong, Cambodia and Thailand.
Seven provincial teams will be seen competing with each other in the enthralling tournament. The Champion team will also earn qualifier berth in the CLT20, to be held later this year. The tournament will feature 14 Pakistani cricketers including 42 other International players.
