Lahore: Former Film Producer Ahad Malik has died here on Saturday after prolong illness. From last 2 years, Ahad was suffering from Paralysis attack. On 28th march, he suffered from brain hemorrhage and he was taken to local Hospital in Defence area where he took last breath on Saturday. He was buried in Graveyard of Gulberg, Lahore.
Ahad Malik was born in 1940 in Lahore city and obtained law Degree from University of Punjab. He produced around 11 Lollywood movies. He was also remained part of Film Producers Association. After film industry success, he joined politics. Ahad had remained part of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q).
He was elected for Member of Punjab Assembly for two times. His uncle Malik Barkat Ali (late) was also remained part of Punjab legislative Assembly before formation of Pakistan during 1937-1946 and 1946-1947.
He left widow, one son and three daughters. Celebrities from Lollywood and Pakistani politics showed grief on death of Ahad Malik.
