KARACHI: The fishermen have been directed to stay away from sea due to Nilofar storm. According to details, an intensifying storm named Nilofar has started to develop and due to its intensity, the fishermen, living in the coastal areas of Badin and Thatha, have been directed to stay alert and avoid going into sea. The fishermen of Badin have said that over 30 boats are in the sea. After the prediction of Nilofar storm, the people in the coastal areas of Badin are frightened.
The fishermen living in various areas including Zero Point of the coastal strip have said that the administration has not taken any steps in order to convey them to safer areas although the administration has made them aware of the storm arrival and imposed high alert. The fishermen have said that over 30 boats of them are in the deep sea and more than 200 people are on the boats who don’t know the storm is coming.
The high alert has also been imposed in the coastal areas of Thatha and the fishermen have been directed to avoid going for fishing into the sea. The administration has directed the fishermen to stay away from sea for four days whereas the steps to bring back the boats, already into the sea, are being taken.
