KARACHI: Firing at military police vehicle has killed 2 officials at MA Jinnah Road, Karachi. Senior Medicolegal Officer (MLO) Civil Hospital, Dr. Nasir Shah has said that one official was dead while he was being shifted to hospital whereas one official lost his life during treatment at the hospital.
Additional Inspector General (AIG) Mushtaq Maher has said that some unidentified attackers wearing mark on their faces targeted the vehicle of military police near Tibbat Centre at MA Jinnah Road Karachi. He added that the attackers used 9 MM pistol which seriously injured 2 officials of military police. The officials later died.
According to DIG south, the attackers were riding on bikes and they targeted the upper body parts of the officials. Eye witnesses said that 4 military officials were travelling in the vehicle whereas the attackers successfully fled away from the site.
The heavy contingents of police and rangers reached at the site and started to collect evidences by cordoning off the site. According to Dawn, a suspected man has also been arrested from the site and shifted to n unknown location.
The Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah took the notice of the firing at the vehicle and ordered to investigate immediately. The governor of Sindh Ishratul Ebad Khan also expressed sorrows at the firing incident at military official at MA Jinnah Road, Karachi.
