Lahore: A local was shot dead by some unidentified armed men when they opened fire at the car in front of King Edward Medical College University on Tuesday, police sources told.

According to the sources, another man sustained serious injuries in firing who has been shifted to the local hospital while the dead body has also been taken to the hospital for post medico-legal formalities.

Police officials said that according to the initial investigations the incident took place over personal enmity. However, further inquiry is underway in this regard in order to unearth the actual reason behind the killing.
