Lahore: FIR has been launched against National Cricketer Mohammad Sami and his three friends here late Wednesday night by The Gulberg Police under charges of causing damage, rash driving and mischief.
According to the Police official, they have registered an FIR on the complaint of Advocate Farrukh Ilyas Cheema. However, no one has been arrested so far and Sami is currently on a Sri Lanka tour with the national side.
The complainant held the view that Sami and his friends misbehaved with him and caused damage to his car while driving recklessly at Hussain Chowk, Gulberg on May 26.
He told that the Sami and his friends driving Toyota Corolla AHJ 583, hits his car LEF 5734 Coure from the back at Hussain Chowk. They first laughed at me, upon pressurizing for recompense. Sami offered his NIC and said he would pay him the next day.
The next day, Sami retracted and misbehaved again, saying he would pay after returning from the Sri Lanka tour and threatened to return the check of Rs. 30,000 gave by Sami’s friend as compensation.
