Usually research indicates how negatively social media and Facebook are affecting our lives but a new study from University of California gives another perspective.
The study which was based on data of 12 million who were born between 1945 to 1989. It said that Facebook not only increases the life but also helps people connecting in real world.
The main reason which was highlighted in the study was Facebook helps people finding old friends and it is a good place to make new friends which reduces depressions and helps people to love their lives.
The study based their assumptions by accessing the number of friends, number of photos shared, numbers of messages sent and status updates.
The study concluded that active Facebook users with bigger friend circle and connectivity lived longer than those who were not on Facebook or didn’t use it frequently.
