Peshawar: Earthquake shakes Capital city Islamabad and other northern areas of Pakistan, AwamiWeb reported. Earthquake was observed in Islamabad, Peshawar, Mardan, Lower Dir, Charsadda, Upper Dir, Malakand, Parachinar, Kurram Agency, Kohat and Batgaram. Citizens of Lahore also feel earthquake jolts, local correspondent reported.
Earthquake intensity was observed 5.8 on Richter scale, Department of Meteorology told. Earthquake also observed in Hangu, Abbottabad at Mansehra.
People came out from their home and started reciting Quranic Ayats. It’s almost -2 to -10 degree centigrade temperature in these northern areas but people are standing on roads. Earthquake was low intensity in Federal Capital.
Update: Earthquake also observed in Quetta.

11:15 PM: Kotli, Azad Kashmir and Diamir are also among affected cities
11:18: Centre of this earthquake was AL-Qadri area of Afghanistan
11:20 PM: Sialkot city also observed earth shocks, U.S. Geological Survey told.
11:22 PM: Actual Centre of this earthquake was 100 Kilometers away from Chitral
11:29 PM: Other cities which also got these jolts are Rawalpindi, Wah Cantt, Hasan Abdal, Sheikhupura and Gujranwala.
