LAHORE: Dengue killed three more people here on Saturday in Lahore hospitals; meanwhile the death toll increased to 259 in Lahore and 293 in Punjab. As per details in fresh deaths, Waqas Ali 18, resident of Gurumangat and Majida 45, resident of Pak Nagar died due to dengue virus at Services Hospital. Meanwhile Allah Rakhi resident of Labal died due to dengue virus at Sheikh Zayed Hospital.
health department of Punjab reported that the dengue patients’ count have been decreased due to change in weather, over 19 thousand dengue patients have been reported in Punjab out of them 16584 are belongs to Lahore. On the other hand, addressing the meeting of emergency dengue control committee Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif stressed on the effective measures for the elimination of dengue virus; meanwhile he directed the administration for fogging spray in markets and business centers on eid occasion.
He said that training program for anti-dengue campaign is continued and more than 416 doctors and nurses were given training, adding that the health system at schools become ensured and special teams would make sudden visits; meanwhile different secretaries of Punjab government and commissioner Lahore briefed the participants.
