Jeddah: Gulf Corporation has decided to issue a common visa for six Arab countries to the tourists visiting these countries. According to reports, Saudi Arab, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Oman will be included in these 6 countries to be given the facility of a common visa. This decision has been undertaken in an attempt to boost trade relations between the Arab countries.
According to the director of the advisory commission of the council, Najeeb-ul-Shamsi, the advisory council has felt the need for a common visa in the Arab countries and it emphasizes the need to issue a common visa for the Arab countries. The next meeting of the advisory commission will be held soon to finalize the decision of issuing a common visa for the 6 Arab countries and will be presented in the conference of the Gulf States to be held in the summers.
The recent studies had led to a conclusion that in order to promote tourism and develop the economy, it was necessary to take this step which will benefit the tourism industry between these countries. The Saudi Shura council stated that this visa will be similar to the Schengen visa of Europe and it will also help in promoting the tourist industry within these countries.
