Karachi: CNG stations have been shut down from 8:00 AM and would continue to remain closed for three days, sources have reported. According to the Sui Southern Gas Company sources, as per the gas load management schedule, CNG would not be able for three consecutive days from Monday till Friday.
The administration sources of the company have stated that inadequate supply of the gas is result of the great demand by the people which has resulted due to intense winter condition. CNG “load-shedding” has added to the miseries of the masses. Office going and students are the worst affected segment of the society with this menace.
Lack of public transport on the roads made people to pay double fares as the vehicles could not continue with their usual routes. This usual load- shedding and closure of the gas stations has also given rise to the criminal activities as the thieves continue to loot and plunder the citizens who stand for hours in queue for their turn to get their vehicles filled.
People were seen angry over the incapability of the government to tackle with the situation and demanded strong measures to be taken to resolve the problem.
