LONDON: The British Parliament has approved the resolution concerning the acceptance of Palestine as a state. 274 votes were cast in support for the resolution whereas 12 votes were cast against the resolution. On the other side, the British government is not bound to act upon that resolution. A foreign news agency has informed that the British stance will not be changed concerning Palestine due to the resolution whereas the resolution will be a status symbolic concerning the acceptance of Palestine as a state.
According to details, 274 votes were cast in favor of the resolution whereas only 12 votes against the resolution were cast. In the resolution, it was stated that Palestine should be accepted as a free or independent state like Israel. However, the stance of the British government will not be changed due to the resolution on Palestine issue and the British government will not be bound to act upon the resolution.
It is stated in the resolution that the British government can accept Palestine as an independent state at any time if the Britain thinks that such an act can bring peace between Palestine and Israel. Approving the resolution about Palestine is a great achievement and it is hoped that Palestine will get freedom.
