Karachi: Following a number of news reports published in news papers and telecasted on TV regarding the hefty contract money for West Indian cricket star Brian Lara, Sindh Sports Minister Dr. Mohammad Ali Shah has showed his concerns over the statement of Lara claiming that he was offered a sum of $1.5 million. In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Dr. MA Shah clarified that World record holder was offered $15 thousand and not $15 Lac.
Provincial Minister said that he was amazed with the statement of Lara that claimed I offered him heavy amount of 15 Lac dollars to play in the two exhibition matches between Rest of Pakistan Eleven and International World Eleven.
According to the earlier reports, Brian Lara said that he wanted to play in Pakistan but because Pakistan Cricket Board did not approached him, he missed out playing two fascinating matches held in the country to bring cricket back in Pakistan.
