Quetta: The Provincial government of Balochistan has put a ban on pillion riding for two months citing target killings and terror activities across the province, local news channel reported. According to Home Department Balochistan, the provincial government has imposed ban on pillion riding along with a strict ban on carrying of explosive weapons and tinted glasses for vehicles for the next two months.
The decision was taken by the civilian authorities who instructed the law enforcement agencies to prepare a comprehensive security plan for Muharram in order to ensure the security of Imambargahs, mosques, processions and majalisa across the volatile province.
It is to mention here that the government of Sindh has also imposed a ban on three cities of Sindh including Karachi, Hyderabad and Khairpur till 11th Muharram.
