Karachi: United Association Producers Association reputed actor Asif Raza Mir has said that Pakistani dramas and artists are recognized and have earned because of their uniqueness in terms of professional adherence, hence we should not consider the foreign dramas as threat to our drama industry.
Indian channels have lost their influence and fame in our country now. Mir said that we protest against the dubbing and telecasting of the foreign dramas in the prime time which according to us is injustice being done with the TV artists and our country. We have initiated struggle in this regard and we are fully supported by people from different age groups and backed by media also. All the artists have also raised their voices in PPA, he said.
In reply to a question he said that the “movement” initiated would bring a positive result which is being done by the cohesive co-ordination of the TV artists. The producer, actor said the presents can be telecast with Urdu sub titles rather dubbing, even the viewers have lost interest in watching dubbed shows. He said that PEMRA has been informed of the on going issue but it looks less bothered to take any action as many local channels stills are broad casting the Indian channels.
