Karachi: The Asian Institute of Fashion Design recently held a 2 day open house fashion Collection display 2013, at AIFD campus, Clifton Karachi. The AIFD “Fashion Crit” is organized for the final year students to exhibit their thesis project at the end of the Bachelor (Hons) program. The display was critiqued by renowned personalities from the media and fashion industry including Sohail Javed, Tehmina Khalid and Sadia Kausar, on their design, aesthetics, technicality and execution. The participating students at AIFD Fashion Crit included Abel Emaneul, Faiz Roohani, Sarah Pasha, Rida Junaid, Enas Amin, Hania Batool, Mariam Ahmed, Mehrunnisa, M.Rahimuddin, Muzna Shaukat, Nabia Fahim, Noor-e-Hira, Paiker Raza, Rubab Ashiq, Shirmeen, Sumera Hanif, Sumera Kanwal, Syed Hussain Raza, Tooba Aziz, Waleed Ahmed and Zainab Abid.
Each student researched and developed their themes with their own inspirations developing 5 garments at the end of the last year of their Bachelor (Hons) program. The students presented their work in detail based on the latest international trends forecasted in the fashion and textile industry.

The fashion students of Asian Institute of Fashion Design have been working on their collections for the past one year. The collections made for summer 2013 are a statement of finesse, which are technically executed into aesthetically sound garments.
