Accountability Court issued non-bailable arrest warrants of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar after he failed to appear in court. He is facing corruption charges after he failed to provide sources of increase in his wealth.
Ishaq Dar is accused of acquiring illegal wealth of Rs. 831.7 million, he was asked to provide sources of income which resulted in increase of wealth but he failed to do so.
Previously his counsel filed an application seeking exemption from appearing in courts on the basis of deteriorated health but it was dismissed by courts.
After issuing the arrest warrants the hearing of the case was postponed till 21st November. Currently the finance minister is in London.
The cases against ruling family and Finance minister were filed after Panama Papers were leaked. The opposition party started campaign against the ruling family which resulted in investigation and cases.
