KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has leveled allegation against rangers that a member of MQM Rabita Committee, Kamal Malik, has been arrested by the ranger officials. According to a statement issued on MQM’s website, a heavy contingent of rangers raided at Kamal Malik’s house, situated in Block-F of North Nazimabad last night and arrested him without any reason.
According to the statement, the ranger officials stayed at his home for 2 hours, searched his home and took all his personal certificates as well as documents concerning his home and insurance. According to Rabita Committee, Kamal Malik had his liver transplanted two year ago and he is ill.
It is claimed in MQM’s statement that the rangers have transferred Kamal Malik to an identified place and no reason of his arrest was told. MQM Rabita Committee has demanded of his release forthwith.
MQM Rabita Committee has appealed to the human rights organizations to take notice of unjustified arrests and torture on MQM leaders and workers as well as raising voice against this brutality. MQM leader Wasay Jalil has tweeted concerning Kamal Malik’s arrest.
