LONDON: The Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that Imran Khan and Dr Tahirul Qadri should drop their ultimatums, adding that their matter should be limited to the demands. In a statement issued from London, Altaf Hussain said that participants of the sit-in should stay away from Red Zone and they should avoid blitzing at governmental installations.
The MQM Chief further said that every way which can rise violence should be avoided, adding that all the matters should be solved by negotiations. He stated that the government should show its superiority and start negotiations and all the legal demands of the demonstrators or the participants of the sit-in should be accepted.
Altaf Hussain further said that the Pakistan military was busy in fighting against terrorists, adding that the sitting government and all the parties which were protesting should consider this factual situation as well. He added that all the parties should necessarily stay opening the doors for talks. He emphasized saying that riots should be avoided at any cost and the end of the riot would not be in the interest of the country. He thanked the sitting government in order not to use powers against the protesting march.
It is pertinent to mention here that Imran Khan and Dr Tahirul Qadri were on protests against rigging in the election and they wanted to oust the Prime Minister of Pakistan. They said that their sits-in would be prolonged until the resignation of the premier.
