Al Halal Farms aims to be the go-to research-backed meat business at any consumer’s fingertips. Coming from a family of farmers, Mubasher Hasan is no stranger to livestock farming, but realized the limitations of even large farm-owners, to provide their products, or in this case, animals, to a wide range of consumers. As the demand for meat, particularly at Eid time grows each year, the growth potential and opportunity for a business in the agricultural sector could be massive, if producers could only create stable supply lines to consumers.
Mubasher’s conviction is to ensure his business takes advantage of local market growth by modernizing not only his own business but the local agricultural community in Gujranwala as well. By expanding their business to an online platform, Al Halal Farms hopes to increase is consumer out-reach to both businesses and end consumers, and do away with middle men who often impact not only the price but the supply of animals, particular at peak-buying seasons.
They are also expanding their services to suit end-customer needs, i.e. butchery and sacrificial services etc. While improving their customer interface, Al Halal has also invested in breeding techniques and the healthcare of its animals to improve the mortality rate from 70% (the national mortality rate of goat livestock) to 10%.
