Karachi: Nearly 250 police recruits who suffered food poisoning here at Razzakabad Police Training Centre on Monday have been rushed to Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medical treatment. Out of which 100 trainee cops have been discharged after a noticeable improvement in their condition, Deputy Director Jinnah Hospital, Simi Jamal told media.
Talking to media she said, “We are sending the cops back to the training center as they are getting better but not without a final medical examination.”
“Few of the rest patients are still being treated in Ward No.5 and the others are kept in different wards for the same“, she added.
Earlier, the hundreds of patients being treated in JPMC had eaten the food provided by the in-house mess, developed acute symptoms of severe gastric pain.
