The economical, political and security situation of Pakistan is forcing Pakistani citizens to move abroad. The devastating factor is that most of the educated youth and skilled labour prefer to leave Pakistan.
A research paper from Karachi University revealed that 48.7% young people of Karachi want to leave Pakistan and aim to settle in Europe and Middle East.
Salman Khatani who is an MPhil scholar also endorsed the research paper and said that 90% of young people are not satisfied with the situation and they find no opportunities in the country.
Each year around 1 million people migrate from Pakistan which is causing brain drain especially in education and health sector. Skilled labours are settling in Middle East while educated youth prefers Europe.
According to Gallup Pakistan around 2/3 of the population wants to leave the country. If 50% of the youth and most of the citizens wants to leave the country then it’s a serious issue and government should work to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
