Karachi: 48th Chemistry Olympiad will be held in the city of lights Karachi, next year in 2016. This good news was announced in a press conference held at the H.E.J. Research Institute by the officials on Monday. It has been announced that Pakistan has an honour to host the 48th Chemistry Olympiad (IChO), which will be held at the International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), Karachi University (KU), next year.
It will be held from 20th to 29th of July, 2016 and approximately 300 young chemists and around 150 experts from 75 countries from different regions are expected to participate in the Chemistry Olympiad. ICCBS-Karachi University and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan will jointly host the event.
“Holding this prestigious global event in the country is an honour for the nation. The event will be held under foolproof security,” President of IChO 2016 and well known scientist of Pakistan, Professor Atta-ur-Rehman said in a press conference.
48th Chemistry Olympiad which will be held next year in Pakistan will definitely help to build positive image of Pakistan among people from different countries and will provide an opportunity to the Pakistani students to meet the experts.
