ISLAMABAD: The protesters belonging to Pakistan Awami Tehreek and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, soon after the announcement made by Imran Khan and Dr Tahirul Qadri, tried to enter or barged into the Prime Minister house. The protestors armed with rods and catapult brawled with the police in which more than 450 persons including 72 police constables were injured. According to officials, no death has been reported yet.
According to details, Chairman PTI, Imran Khan and the head of PAT, Dr Tahirul Qadri ordered their followers or supporters to march to the Prime Minister House. Both the leaders, before marching to the Prime Minister House, directed their supporters again and again to stay peaceful and not to damage a single vase.
The protestors refused to agree to their leaders’ directions. The protestors having rods, flags of the party, catapults, cranes and cutters which cut the fences crossed red line first and then lifted the containers by cranes and tried to enter the state institutions. At this moment, police could not bear and started shelling. The shelling further provoked the protesters and they started to attack on the police.
The protestors became uncontrolled and they not only torched trees along Shahrah-e-Dastoor, chairs but they also plucked the bricks from footpath to use them in pelting over the police. The protestors also aimed at police constables with catapult. That was not enough because the workers of PTI and PAT also cut the fences at the gate of the parliament and then broke the gate with the truck hitting again and again. The skirmish between the police and the workers of PTI and PAT continued for hours whereas Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri keep looking the whole scene while sitting in their containers.
