Islamabad: Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) imposed the ban on four (4)Universities in the country and inform the students to not take admission in the banned universities because the degrees they provide are not accepted by the Higher Education Commission.
According to an alert notification, which is issued by Higher Education Commission Pakistan, these four universities banned from providing degrees and admitting students in future because of their academic irregularities and mismanagement. This ban is imposed on the universities till they fulfill the HEC required deficiencies.
The local media reports the following names of the four universities while their names are mentioned in HEC Official announcement, the name of banned institutions are mentioned below.
-
Preston Institute of Management Sciences and Technology (PIMSAT) Karachi
-
Imperial College of Business Studies Lahore
-
Global Institute Lahore
-
And Al-Khair University AJK
The most important alert is that their sub-campuses, branches or affiliated colleges become a victim of this ban and they are also not allowed to announce admission and provide degrees to students too.
Unfortunately, there are many institutions in the country their main objective is doing business rather providing a quality education, which is an ill treachery with the students’ career.
Mostly, institutions provide insufficient information to the student before granting them admission, it would be better for the students to first confirm the status of the institute or university before entering.
For the students and parent, the list of recognized as well as non-recognized universities and institution is available on the official website of Higher Education Commission, wherefrom parents and students can check the status of an institution before they consider for admission.
