NEW YORK: It has been stated in the report of United Nations (UN) that one of nine men each is short of food, adding that approximately 4 Crore people in Pakistan are short of food. An international organization of UN concerning food and agriculture has issued an annual report about lacking of food in the world.
The report says that 80 crore and 50 lakhs people on the whole are short of food ceaselessly in the whole world whereas in some developing countries, the providing of food is insecure. One of the four people each in the areas adjacent to Sahara desert in the continent of Africa is far from food. The half numbers of the children who are 5 years old in Malawi, the southeast Africa have lost their weights clearly.
According to the report, Yemen is also victim of less food whereas some of the Arab countries are short of food due to uprising or violent disputes. The report says that 52 crore and 60 lakhs people in the continent Asia are unable to remove their hunger due to short of food.
It is stated in the report that 3 crore and 96 lakhs people were short of food in Pakistan during 2012 to 2014. The report further says that no progress was made in order to improve need of food in Pakistan and this situation was being worsened. Due to such situation, Pakistan Millennium Development Goals would not be able to fulfill the need of food. According to the report, food paucity is increasing in Pakistan since 1990.
