Kamran Akmal and Abdul Razzaq have been dropped from Pakistan’s ODI and T20 squad for the upcoming tour of West Indies which starts from April 18. Mohammad Salman of Faisalabad is included in place of Kamran Akmal. Shahid Afridi will lead the side in both form of game. The test squad will be named at a later date.
The Karachi born, Mohammad Salman was Rashid Latif’s deputy at Allied Bank Limited (ABL) in 2000. According to Rashid, Salman is the best choice for wicket keeping.
Younis Khan and Umar Gul have been rested for the tour, as Shahid Afridi wanted young blood to be injected in Pakistan squad for West Indies.
Hammad Azam, the hero of last U19 World Cup has been included in place of Abdul Razzaq. Usman Salahuddin, another youngster who scored 927 runs In Quaid-e-Azam trophy last year has also been selected to show his skills in middle order.
The tour starts with a warm-up game from April 18. The only T20 will be played on April 21. The ODI series will begin on April 23
